The City of Lauderhill Chamber of Commerce and Broward Caribbean Carnival Inc. (BCCI) cordially invites you to the Broward Caribbean Carnival Media Launch 2008 at Central Regional Park in Lauderhill, Florida; the official home of Broward Caribbean Carnival. The event will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. on Thursday June 26, 2008.
At the Media Launching there will be a preview of highlights for the upcoming Broward Caribbean Carnival 2008. There will be live entertainment from Petrotrin Tassa Band, steelband music, kids and adults displaying their 2008 costumes. Light refreshments will be served. We also have a chance to celebrate together Caribbean American Heritage Month.
Carnival in Broward County now in its 6th year has been endorsed by the Broward County since inception. This year is historic since this is the first time that a stadium has been built outside of the Caribbean with carnival as one of the pillars. Be reminded that Carnival has been exported from the Caribbean for almost 45 years. For a young organization such as Broward Caribbean Carnival this is a significant achievement. We urge you to come and celebrate this cultural milestone with us.
In attendance will be media, elected city and county officials, CARICOM Consulate Generals, sponsors, and community leaders who will be available for interviews and photo opportunities. Invitees will have the opportunity to have a tour of the facility and see firsthand the logistics of the event on carnival day.
